Filtration pump
The right flow. At the right time.
The pump moves water from the pool through filtration and equipment to the returns. Power alone is not enough to choose: pipework and required flow come first.
- Flow matched to pipework
- Fixed or variable speed
- Accessible strainer basket
Pump, filter and head loss
Pipe length, bends, elevation and equipment affect flow. We match pool needs to the pump curve without exceeding the filter's allowable flow.
In this guideWhat variable speed changes
It allows different speeds for filtration and maintenance. Each setting must meet minimum heating and treatment flow; savings depend on the installation and schedule.
In this guideInstall with serviceability in mind
A stable base, motor ventilation, removable unions and space to lift the basket ease upkeep. Electrical connections and protection are specified for the equipment and location.
In this guideSigns to watch
Air in the basket, unusual noise or reduced flow call for checks of water level and the circuit. A pump must not keep running dry: have the cause investigated.

Can the existing filter stay?
Often, after checking its condition and allowable flow with the new pump.
Is the lowest speed enough?
Not always. Skimmers, filtration, heating and treatment have circulation requirements.
Why does rated flow differ from actual flow?
The value depends on circuit resistance. Selection uses the flow/pressure curve applied to your installation.
