Cartridge filter
Accessible elements. Straightforward upkeep.
Water passes through one or more pleated elements. Selection considers filtration area, flow and enough clearance to remove the elements.
- Removable elements
- Suitable hose rinsing
- Overhead clearance planned
A large surface within a filter
Pleats increase the particle-trapping surface. A correctly sized cartridge matches pump flow; element count and spare availability matter for future upkeep.
In this guideAllow room to open the lid
The filter must be isolated and opened following its manual. We keep clearance to lift the lid, remove cartridges and reach the air release without dismantling the plant room.
In this guideRinse, inspect, replace
With the pump stopped and vessel depressurized, rinse elements with a suitable jet without damaging pleats. Grease or scale requires compatible cleaning. Replace a damaged element.
In this guideCompare daily use, not just price
A cartridge avoids the routine backwash of a sand filter but requires element removal and rinsing. We also check clarifier and flocculant compatibility before use.
Can any flocculant be used?
No. Some clog cartridges. Use a product explicitly compatible with your filtration.
When should a cartridge be replaced?
When pleats or end caps are damaged, or cleaning no longer restores expected operation. Life depends on use and model.
Is it suitable for a renovation?
Yes, after checking flow, connections and maintenance clearance.
